The Bible tells us to love our neighbors, and also to love our enemies; probably because generally they are the same people.

Uhm ... I think I may be the dissenting opinion here ...
I would have loved to have seen this without the frame.
At the bare mimimum, 'cause it is starting to grow on me somewhat ... the interior portion is quite complimentary, but, I find that outer 'wood' somewhat paling in comparison to the image itself. In quality as well as ... hmm ... searching for a word here ... ahh ... got it ... sophistication.
The image detail and clarity is that good in my mind, that it can stand alone. And this probably is just a personal thing and rests with this viewer.
'Cause you are titillating my senses here with that colour. Green. My kind of thing, you know. Add in the veins ... (hey ... lol, you are a phlebotomist, that certainly took me some time to get that pun in ;o) ) ... and there are some very nice contrasts starting to appear.
Add in the light and ... sophisticated. This could easily be a study of form and colour and shape.
Nice work. Try thinking ... forget about outside the frame ... how about none? Just a suggestion, that's all.
