At first glance I thought the curling leaves were actually peeling bark. This is an interesting angle, and I like how you can see the tree sprawling upwards toward the sky in the background. NIce light and shadow play. I like it!

Correct me if I'm wrong....but I think that IS curling Bark. Really neat shot Marie. Great Angle too!

This looks like the birch trees we have here. I love the way the bark peels. And, what a DOF range. What aperature did you use? You got this focused from the forefront all the way to the top. That's quite a spread. Very well done.
