That's quite a shot, Marietha. I'd be long gooooone down the street before I'd get this close. Emmie has a lot of courage or trust or whatever it takes, but I run from the garter snakes I find around my flowers!! Kudos to Emmie the Fearless and that's a great shot! (She looks like you, but you've heard that before I'm sure). :)

Great capture of your little girl. She is beautiful.. The properly rendered flesh tones are perfect. As for the snake, I would be running over cynlee. I hope she can move fast. One suggestion for improvement. I would erase out the picture of your daughter's shirt. It is competing for attention. Other than that, bravo. Nice capture.

Great picture Marietha ... Lovely daughter. You might want to consider a simple gold neclace for "Emmie" though. I can remember way back when ladies wore what was called a "boa" around their necks but they were soft and fluffy. This one "Emmie" has on doesn't quite fit that description. Bravo! ... to a couple of brave and fearless young women.

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.

Emmie is Beautiful Marie....
Even with a snake around her neck!!! :-)
She looks a little "apprehensive". As I would be!!

Closest I've got to a snake was a Rattler at...Oh....I'll just say... "Buckshot" range.
Round my neck? I don't THINK so!!!

Great Shot!!!

Wow Marietha fantastic shot of both your lovely daughter Emmie and the great big snake. At least the keeper was just behind in case of problems. But even so she is one brave little girl.. Nice work keep them coming :)

She looks just like you Marietha! and I see she has inherited your no fear of snakes! Very amusing how the face on her teeshirt is wincing though with the snake across the image, although that is probably a kiss she is throwing. lol :) Very endearing photograph. Patti

Great Capture of both child and snake. I'd be long gone before it got near me.

LOL what I am seeing in Emmie's eyes is a trace of a very much doubtful pleasure coming from the burden over her neck which [the burden] is as far from sweet as can be !!! LOL
Congratulations to you both and hugs from my furry Boris to Emmie !!!!! Boo boo's hug will surely make it up to her for the sleeky and cold experience with the snake encounter !!! LOL

Hi Marietha
Your daughter looks a little anxious, can't say I blame her. Don't Pythons squeeze the life out of their prey?
Nice 1
