Spot the BABOON. This was taken from a bridge over the Mphongolo River - Kruger National Park. It was quite a dry season, and the question here is.. Can you imagine what this river looks like when in flood? It's something that you can't explain to someone in words. In the year 2000 we had terrible rain and almost all the rivers in the park were flooded and a lot of bridges damaged. Then only do one realise the power of nature..including water. Shall we continue the journey?

It is hard to imagine this being a river! And yes just spotted the baboon too! Lovely colour and composition. Well done!

It would be something to see this river runnin full tilt..If it were, that Baboon would'nt be where he is.lol. Good view from this *stable* bridge..nice stop Marietha...=D

Crazy weather Mareitha! yes it is hard to imagine it full and nearly flooding and then empty. It is like the weather here yesterday - snow everywhere and yet on the same day last year we had a heatwave and people were out sunbathing! everything is mixed up! A poignant capture! well done!

Lovely image! I remember the floods of early 2000 we were in the park and had to turn back on one road as the river had flooded the bridge. Thank you for sharing:)
