This is the altar of the old little church of Mihai Eminescu, the greatest poet of Romania...This church was build, by the mother of Mihai Eminescu, around 1840-1850..All the paintings here are old, the church wasn't remade inside...

Monica, today I said in a comment on one of Adriana's images that Romania has a lot of cultural treasuries. Probably due to a lack of sufficient money, the necessary restoration of treasuries is not always done. Probably other European countries could be helpful. I think it would nice work for politicians to achieve this goal. Thanks again, now for this wonderful image. Regards, Cornelius

This shot contains a great deal of rustic charm. I must agree with Cornelius about the restoration. These icons must be preserved and lovely work like this serve to highlight what would be lost if restoration is ignored.
