Another pose of this rather cooperative Black-Capped Chickadee. I couldn't make up my mind which pose I liked the best Li'l Chickadee 1 or this. So I'll leave it up to the members to decide. Besides it's a great cop-out for posting both ... you have no idea how guilty I feel. :o)

I don't know how you do it John, they just seem to 'come to you' for a pose. Excellent post and so well presented. He's a cutie, glad he cooperataived and he's a keeper for sure. So glad you shared him.

Decisions, decisions, John - don't make me choose! They're both neat in their own special way. This, too, is so well composed and so clear. Nope, you're not going to get me to pick one! I take 'em both! :))

I saw a few of these at my Moms house this past week and just fell in love with them. Their voices are so beautiful when they sing and are quite the comedians also.Such a beautiful capture John.

John, this is so crisp and clear, you nailed it. Did you steal this from my archives and re-do it? Just kidding, you have given us great bird pics. Very well done my friend.

Ah yes! the focus is right on the bird and it's nice and crisp! Very well done. I saw this on the front page and immediately knew it was yours, John. I'd recognize that tree anywhere! ;) As far as the composition between 1 and 2, not easy. In 1, the pose is a little more interesting but he's looking into a very short amount of space, leaving a large amount of empty space on the right. In 2 the bird is in more of the "about to take off" pose, which in itself is a little less interesting, however it creates a diagonal line from his beak down to his tail then contrasted with the diagonal of the perch. Had you placed the bird on the right in 1, I think 1 would have it rather easily, however as it is, it's very close, but I think 2's the better of the two. (pun wasn't really intended, but let's go with it) Looking forward to seeing more, John.

Both images are perfect, i can imagine that you had a hard time choosing.
The bird looks a little more relaxes in the other image, and in this image it looks is or he/she wants to take off. It gives some speed to the image.

What a crystal clear shot of this little fella! I love the chickadees. When I'm out back doing yard work, they never fly off. They are one of the friendliest birds. Wonderful shot, John, and another keeper for me. Thanks!
