A painting I did on a collage of postal stamps. The actual painting looks better than the picture of it. My inspiration for this was my dad, a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. I am hoping to turn this idea in to a series but it takes awhile to safe up that many stamp.

Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

92 percent American teens would die if Abecrombie and Fitch told them it uncool to breathe. Would you be in the 8 percent laughing their asses off at the others?

Great job. An unique way to present a stamp collection.

Well, hey ... some other artistic talents coming to the forefront?

Nicely done Helen.

Really an intriguing piece and a wonderful tribute to your father.

Hope you don't mind, as it just hit me ... a suggestion, not really a critique. What do you think about lowering the ribbon a tad ... into the bottom left corner more so? Changing the angle as well such that it is more ... er, can't think of the word, oblique?

Here is my thinking ...

You created some nice depth with the placement and positionings of the 'letters' themselves. Having the ribbon come down, and this is not the most appropriate phrasing ... from the top of the frame ... counteracts that a tad. Just a tad. How's about starting the introduction of the ribbon from the left hand side of the frame?

Just some thoughts. And to me, it is a compliment when you stir other's imaginations. So ... mission accomplished. :o)

Nice work. Hope to see more of your paintings. Have a soft spot for traditional illustrative techniques.

And but of course, thank you for sharing your creative talents with us.
