This is one of two straightaways on a 30 mile stretch of Highway 1 north of San Simeon. At three miles this is the longest. At the far end, the road turns sharply to the left and climbs in elevation as it meanders through the hills adjacent to the ocean. If you are in a hurry, don't take this road.

Roger, if I hadn't read your narrative I might have thought this could be the famous 'road to nowhere'.
A beautiful sepia-like photograph. The part to which you applied the selective coloring principle is very eye-catching. Perhaps this was your intention too. Very well done anyhow!

If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins! Please CLICK HERE to see my journal! Feel free to save my images or to add them to your favorites.

I really like your editing on this one Rog, the selective use of color, and the excellent lead in makes for a very good image. I have been on highway one but further north. tigs=^..^=
