Atlantis stationed at the hard stand of Launch Pad 39A. The patch repairs to the external fuel tank are clearly visible against the dark orange on the nose cone of the tank. The orbiter assembly took considerable damage during a hail storm on its first roll out. This is the original image from the Kennedy Media Centre so as you can see, there has been some considerable refinements including lens distortion repairs, sensor dirt cleaning, colour fix, detail restoration and noise removal using Photoshop CS3, 55mm Digital Film Tools & PictureCodes Noise Ninja.
