The beach at Gris Gris in the South of Mauritius. This is one of the few areas on the Mauritian coast unprotected by reefs and lagoons and so often has high winds and dramatic waves crashing into the rocks. Despite that, it is a very popular and beautiful spot to visit in good weather.

Oh my! This is magnificent! Such clear rich colours, and I just love that you got some people on the beach. That gives it such a grand feeling. You even got shadows!! I also love how the grasses are growing onto the beach. What perfectly composed photo. I am sooo happy to see these photos you are taking with your new camera..I imagine you are elated!! Verena
