To celebrate the Hubble telescopes 20th Birthday, NASA, ESA and the Space Telescope Science Institute are releasing a new Hubble photo of a small portion of one of the largest known star-birth regions in the galaxy, the Carina Nebula. Three light-year-tall towers of cool hydrogen laced with dust rise from the wall of the nebula. The scene is reminiscent of Hubble's classic "Pillars of Creation" photo from 1995, but even more striking.

Amazing I guess! Three light-years tall ..... that boggles the mind right there!
Had to look it up, 3 light years would be 17.7 trillion miles, give or take a couple miles, LOL!

OMG...this is just mind boggling!! No one can think this way. When I first saw this photo I thought it was a fractal, and then to read your words...soooo amazing!!! It's way too much for our very small brains to comprehend! But the colours and those stars! WOW! Hydrogen and dust?! Thank you SO much for sharing this, I mean it, it's just magnificent. Verena

Speaking of the depth within that image... Would you mind if I attempted a rework of it?
