This is another inhabitant of the swamps I grew up in. It is commonly know as a water Moccasin or Cotton Mouth. It is very venomous and ill tempered. Snapped this bad boy from a distance. Hope you enjoy and all comments are welcomed.

Luxuriant green backdrop to this deadly snake. My son and I were walking in a local nature park, and I saw a baby snake crossing our path. I wanted to get a close look, but my son cautioned me it could be dangerous. So instead I took its photo. It turns out it was a Western Pygmy Rattlesnake, not to be messed with!

Yep knew what that one was right away, we had Cotton Mouths in North Carolina when I was growing up there. They sure have a nasty attitude & he doesn't look to happy with you taking his picture
