In Yellowstone National Park, Minerva Terrace is quite a tourist draw. As it expands nothing stands in its way as this poor tree shows. If you ever get the chance to visit, it is well worth the effort.

Wow... this certainly does sound like quite the place to visit! Magnificent capture... the sky looks especially deep/navy blue.

I've actually been here myself. You did a great job capturing the detail.

Very well done.

Nicely captured. Good colors on the sky and the background + good focus on the tree.

What a dramatic image! Stunning! Looks like it was done with Kodachrome (anybody remember that film?). I'm guessing you underexposed to get detail in the white areas. The result is amazing!

Michael you certainly showed all the feelings and colours in this photo. The way the poor little tree is off center allowing a persons eyes to focus beyond it and allow the saturation of the yellowstone colours to show so grande, and then the steam softly caressing the sky...its a beautiful shot for sure. Thank you so much for the reminder of the time I spent there also...its quite a beauty all of its own...verena

It's not the years in our life that matter, but the life in our years.

Beautiful capture Michael. The colors of the land are unique to me as I've never seen anything like this. I also like the pools that you've shown us. Such a barren terrain but it's also beautiful in its' own way.

Love that focus on the lone tree. Sad that it is dyiing :(
Interesting elements in the photo. Like how the steam is rising to that deep blue sky. Thanks for this strange view...

Yellowstone is a photographers dream playground. You have framed this nicely and the sky is amazing on this image.

This is surreal... Truly. The waterfall-like terraces, and the sky which is turning dark blue, as if in space... This is so cool.
