Great little shot. You have an interesting subject to be sure. A couple of tweaks and it would be perfect. Maybe clone out the car and crop the overhang and lower shadow. Otherwise just step two paces up and recompose the shot. It is good as is.
Nice pic Steve but I'm going to pick on you a little. If you would have stepped forward two steps you would have gotten the overhang and shadow out of the picture. Then if you would have yelled at some one to move the car for a minute you would have gone from a B to an A. It's just a nudge-nudge thing. Still a nice pic.
Just noticed Bfranks comment after I sent this off...seems we were on the same wave length.
The Bible tells us to love our neighbors, and also to love our enemies; probably because generally they are the same people.

Surprise to both of you. I did that already and a copy is hanging in a friends office. But seriously, I forgot about the overhang in this one and just thought I would leave the car in. So you both "got" me. And I appreciate it. Thanks. (I don't remember taking out the shadow. I'll have to check on that on Wed. Have a safe 4th)
You might find this as funny as my minnesota friends, but in Canda we call the Woods, the Bush. I had many people laugh at me over this. Language can be a funny thing. Even if people speak the same one, slang and terms can have two totally different meanings. My favorite blunder of all time was when a friend of mine went to England. She had just started school there and didn't know the culture very well. She walked up to one of her female school mates and said, "I really like your pants." All of a sudden the whole room looked at her like she was nuts. It was a concervative Christian school to boot. Then someone laughed and said, " You must be North American." She told them yes and the they enlightned her. In the UK pants means womens underwear. So all beware if you are in the UK, don't look over at your wife and say,"Honey are you done ironing my pants?" You'll get some looks from the locals. Say slacks instead, they call them slacks!! Anyway, thought iId share my little story. But as far as the photo goes, I got agree with the above comments. It looks like Grandmammy's and Pappy's cottage. I like the original intent of this shot though. You've been putting out some nice pictures lately Steve. Cheers.........................Amaris
Oh a secret hideaway in the woods Steve. Looks like a lot of fun and a great place to be staying and a wonderful opportunity to get some great photographs too. I love the way it is nestled between the trees. very good capture! :) Patti
ps lol Amaris - very funny message. I am from the UK and I expect your friend said panties which is ladies underwear. Pants and trousers I would think of as outerwear, but then again it was a conservative christian school ;)
