OK, I admit it now. I was not at Dominquez Canyon as in the other photo's, I was at Escalante Canyon. You see one, you see them all? Enjoy and thanks for your comments/suggestions. Steve

wow! those canyons look so scary - one minute you are walking across flat land, the next it just caves in and disappears into the earth! Spectacular view!

Yeah, I agree...this one looks like nothing I've seen on earth. Strange, strange formation. I wonder if geologists have a better explanation than the good old catchall, "glaciation". Very interesting pic. Makes a good desktop.
