I know, the translation of the Dutch name "Bereklauw" of this plant is not correct!, but I think it is a funny name! The English name is, "Hogweed"

John, this got a WOW outta me this morning. The way the light catches on the poofy :0) white blooms against the BLUE sky is quite dramatic. Love this! ~Mary~

John, dat is werkelijk heel toevallig, was van plan om vandaag ook een foto van een bereklauw te posten. Ga het nog wel doen ook. Ben toch blij dat jij hem vanuit een iets anders perspectief dan ik, heb bekeken. Mooie opname weer. Groet Cornelius
PS: de naam is correct. "Hogweed' (bereklauw) of 'Giant Hogweed' (reuzebereklauw).

I've heard that although lovely to look at, they can produce boils and are somewhat poisonous. Your perspective is great here, and the contrasts are amazing. :)

A very attractive shot of a seriously nasty weed, grows to 12ft sometimes, in damp places. In Britain it is a notifiable dangerous weed.

This is so strange. It looks just like what we call Queen Annes Lace over here, but it never gets that tall of course. But they look so much alike. This is a lovely photo, the colours are fantastic, and the clarity is great too. Verena
