I know what you mean about wanting to keep some for yourself. I'm glad you decided to share this one with us. This is fabulous work Rob! I love the image of the girl on the door, the closeness of the brick building and the depth of the city in the background. The black bike leaning against the building may be familiar to me too. This is something I definitely need to learn!

Spend a few minutes each day being grateful for what you have and who you have to share it with.

Well composed with beautiful lighting, Rob. I like the peek down the road. It does feel like we are at home.

I do see a portion of a girl's head in the door, Rob. Is that why you put this in the "photo->manipulation" category? I do have a couple of questions since I know that you have the ability to add and remove a swan's head at your whim. I'm wondering how it's possible that there is no color immediately to the right of the drainpipe which splits the shot. Finally I have inferred from your title that this posting entitled "Door" is a singular of "The Doors". I always thought that your namesake Robby Krieger had the prettiest hair, but are you implying that the girl on the door is one of The Doors?

Beauty of a shot, Rob. Perfectly composed, wonderfully colored and typically captured brick textures. I do see the bicycle from yesterday's posting. I sometimes walk miles in between shots. Apparently you walk a few feet at the most between shots.

I like the door and I also like the tight feel of this manip. It is like I am standing very Close to the brick wall. Very nice work.

Nice work, Rob. Very interesting composition with almost two different halves of the photo. Not quite different yet. They completes each other. -Tanju

Interesting work Rob. Good composition of the scene. Nice textures and details in the bricks and a great job painting the girl's face on the door.
