This could never happen here for the following reasons:
#1) It never rains; so who need an umbrella
#2) In the United States much of the population see themselves as consumers. I've seen bumper stickers that say, "Whoever has the most toys at the end wins". We collect new stuff and repair nothing.
#3) This guy wouldn't be out repairing umbrellas. He would be at City Hall applying for his business license which would never get issued.
#4) If he received his business permit, he could never get a vendor's permit to sell his services on the street. He would have the rent a commercial space in a strip mall.
#5) He is not wearing the proper footwear, hard hat or protective eye equipment and would be shut down by OSHA immediately, fined and maybe jailed.

Your village shots are a wonder to me. Life from your perspective seems simple and honest. Great shot, Sayed.

It's good that there is so much work for skilled people Sayed, unfortunately in the West it's rare to repair anything these days.
