I had to sneak out in the rain to get this elusive little guy. I think they have pretty colours. They really flash when they fly.

I can see why with that red marking on the back of his head Scorp and looks like he has yellow feathers underneath his wings! Lovely capture - I would even be tempted to crop more of the grass off so you can see more of him! great shot my friend!

What a lovely little flicker. I don't think we have them around here at this time of the year....at least I don't remember any that were marked so plainly as this. Very nicely done :)
