Our little friend is doing fine. He's now flying short distances, a couple of hundred feet at a time, from the nesting tree, to others that have good glide paths. The parents are in evidence, around the site, but I haven't seen them yet. The cottage owners are here for the long weekend, and have seen all three in flight, and Hawkeye, a number of times. I'll try for some shots, after all the people are gone, next week.

That is good news. Now that he's flying you don't have to worry so much about preadators. Love the pose here and the slightly upward angle goes well with his future station as king of the skies.
