Here are some of the really big boulders I mentioned in an earlier post. This is in Joshua Tree N.P. I usually have trouble finding them, as they are on a small sand road, leading out of the back of a 2 car, parking area. I've even asked Rangers where they were, and they couldn't tell me. Some big as houses, they are truly awesome. What's really odd, is that they are in the middle of a very flat desert area.

This is cool Doug! I am gonna agree with Randy....the vehicle is a bit of a distraction. But the B&W works great! Nice capture!

I like this a lot - black and white has a magic all of its own. I like the vehicle as it gives sense of proportion and emphasizes the enormousness of the rocks. Excellent work Doug :)

Looks like it would be a great place for a camping spot,,,unless you've watched "The Hills Have Eyes"....:)

Nice photo! Even with the truck!

HAVE YOU THANKED YOUR CAEDES MODS LATELY? It is too easy to whine when things go wrong and too hard to thank people for the things they do for you on site: just think about it....GIVE A MOD A HUG or even a GROPE today.....just do it....:)

Those are some big boulder's Doug ... as big as houses you say. Maybe this is where "The Flintstones" originated. LOL!!!! A great capture ... I like the B/W & shadowing. Very well done.

Nice shot. Reminds me of scenes from those old b&w sci-fi movies.

Amazing. I too am glad you left in the vehicle. It gives a good sense of proportion. Otherwise, it coud be a collection of rocks no bigger than a fist :) The black and white treatment works very well here.

Very nice pic. I think they were all hauled in by that truck with the camper on it.

Nothing ODD about the image though. Looks great in B&W but I can't help feeling curious as to what this would have looked like in color. As for the truck ? What are you gonna do, it's getting harder and harder to find spots without traces of civilization.

This is an excellent photograph and I like the black and white theme. I may have left the car out of the image. IMO but now saying that I think that the car give you the feel of the size of these boulders. All I can say is that this is excellence at work
