No buildings to see in this wild desert country, and it has a beauty all it's own. You'll even find birds, nesting inside these giant cactus. One has been watching me from atop the tallest Saguaro.

One of the best shots I've seen in a long while, Doug. Perfect composition, lovely colors and not a thing out of place in this beauty. You never cease to amaze me since I know that you're not a master manipulator and don't spend hours in editing. This shot is simple and elegant with no cloned skies or funny business. One fave from me.

You are right, the desert has a beauty all it's own. Love how the Saguaro's stand out & the angle of the clouds draws the eyes in as well. Beautiful capture, Doug.

Very nice work in this capture, Doug. Good composition of the scene and beautiful colours. I like the low angle of the shot. Looks like you have a couple of friendly cacti waving you into their little patch of desert.

Magical post and the posting date of 11/11/11 was perfect Doug.
Balance is good.
It looks like a pinch of FDR (HDR) was used. Wonderful editing.
A welcome addition to the permanent gallery.
