As you can imagine, desert reunions attract a thirsty lot. This is just a couple miles North of Organ Pipe (cactus) Reserve, but they're not invited to this Saguaro bash. I don't think it's a North/South thing in this day and age. Just a shortage of the wet stuff.

I really like this one, for it might be the best yet, wonderful color, sharpness, comp. and the sky is fantastic, I think you might have used a polar filter, wonderful imagery. Tigs♥ =^..^=

I'm getting a halo effect around the cactus plants where they meet with the sky. Otherwise, it is a wonderful scene and interesting narrative.

The one cactus looks really glad to see one of the other cactci Doug. I too see the ghosting effect. Sometimes you can use the burn tool and play with the opacity to get rid of that.
The scene is filled with eye catching colors and the composition is very good.
I like it.

LOL I love the narrative ih this photo Doug. Looks a lonely place - it needs some dramatic old time film music to go with it. Great detail and the sky is wonderful.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Well, at least this is a place where some form of earthly life can survive even if it's cacti. It's a very fine composition with robust coloring. I find the grainy texture of your recent photos to be more than what I'd expect nature to bestow. Is that due to manip or is the surface of Arizona really that abrasive? In any case it sure increases the contrast with the sky.

Looks like a prickly bunch, Doug. Good colours and a great looking scene. An odd haloing effect around the cacti.
