My second youngest sister Kathy was a very proud Tom Boy. She was six when she asked me to take this picture, but only of the bandaid. Take a close look at her finger nails.

LOL! Those nails look like that of a mechanic! She liked those band aids. My daughter and granddaughter both liked them too when they were that age.

Another good one Doug - my nails look like that sometimes when I come in from tending my flowers but I'm guessing your sister had another reason!

Love this, Doug. I was a tomboy as well .
Couldn't ride my pony "POGO" while being Annie Oakley and not get dirt and dust all over me from the trail!
Great vintage post ... love her nails .lol

Ahhh, to be able to sit like that again.
Wonderful shot of you sister's "White Badge of Courage," Doug.
Does she still like to get her hands dirty. I bet she does.
You are the crop master for sure.

Ouch! ... but as always bandaids make children feel better & forget about the pain. I was a bit of a tomboy growing up too & still not afraid of getting a little dirty even if there are a few flesh scrapes involved. Excellent capture, Doug.

She still kept her white sock clean it looks like, of course we don't see the other one. Cute capture.

Aptly titled work, young man. Beautifully executed shot although I would have preferred an orange border.

Love always,

Dorothy

P.S. I thought you should know that my period is late.

Uh oh, Doug. I hope you can explain yourself. Dorothy's comment sounds ominous. I hope you've been minding your manners and keeping your wick dry.

I don't recall meeting too many boys named Tom as a child; seems rather odd. An interesting capture Doug. I like the contrasts in the photo.
