Taken in Washington D.C. in the summer of 2004. I played around with this one in Photoshop and ended up on a simple crosshatch for the image. I like the look it gave to the photo. Hope you like it!
This is a gorgeous cfapture. Brilliant colors are not needed to make this come alive. Those are some of the most elegant sun rays I have seen in a sunrise Or sunset, whichever. Hooooooowever...there is a lot of grain (noise) in that sky. I keep telling people about free programs that will take all that out. One of them is Neat Image. Instead of people using it, they get upset that I keep identifying "noise" in their compositions. If it's there, it's there. Do something about it ( I keep thinking of one individual in particular). I ran your picture thru Neat Image (free download on the internet) and oh what a difference it made. You think it was beautiful before? You ought to see it now. I would send your composition rendered in Neat Image back to you but your e-mail address is not listed. At any rate, you did a wonderful work of capturing this scene from a focus, contrast and content point of view. It goes in my "saves".
