I apologize, but I don't remember the name of this aircraft, but I thought it was amazing. All of the airfcraft in the show had been meticulously restored and all were completely operational as well. I'm hoping Dutch can fill me in on this one. :-) Thanks for all your kind comments so far on this series.

Hoi Softie, thanks for this lovely shot from the F-4 Corsair. It dates back to the second world war, but has seen action in Korea as well. The Corsair was build for aircraft carriers, ( see arrester hook under the tail, behind wheel ) but was based on land stations to. The wings can fold up all the way, so that more planes could be stored below decks of the carriers. The wing has a shape like a sea gull bird.
Great picture, i am glad to see one still in flying order !

A fine shot of the Corsair. The way the airplane is in the lower left against the Blue sky is a nice touch.

Very nice photo of a great war bird. The Navy initially did not want the m on aircraft carriers but with a more powerful engine it worked well on carriers. The reason for the gull shaped wings is the propeller was so big that they needed the extra room so the blades would not hit the ground. Hopefully more of these will be flying for years to come. If not we forget our past. I like the pilot looking this way towards you.
