"This is the oldest windmill on Cape Cod and was built in Plymouth in 1680. The windmill was moved to Truro (1770's), and in 1793 to Eastham. It was moved to its present site in 1808. The mill has been restored to good working order and is the last working gristmill on Cape Cod. It is located in Windmill Park near the town center and can be seen in action during the summer months." edit: the stone step just in front of the door is actually a very old millstone.

You did a great job capturing this giant beauty with as little reference to modernity as possible. The trees hide the electrical wires. Well done. The color of the sky takes away one's breath.

This old work horse certainly gets around for a stationary object. I think it's great that it's still in use and that people can go and enjoy it. Perhaps next summer I'll have exhausted my end of NE and invade yours !!!! muah...muah....j/k

I posted this once too, Mary, but your shot is much better than mine! Really nice clarity on this.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes
