lieutenant island, off of wellfleet on cape cod bay, is technically an island only during high tide... a one-lane road on either side of this small bridge is the only way to the island and it's underwater at high tide... fortunately, the tide was low when I took this picture, although I did leave my car parked at the other end... in case...

Wood looks new. I'm guessing they have to replace it quite often. I like the angle of photo and the angles you have working if photo. Very nice Mary.

In the fall, the water seems to multiply the azure of the sky. And you saw it and captured it in this charming image. I'd like to see more of this bridge, the low road and the water at high and low tides. Fascinating. (And good work for thinking ahead about your car...you're a national treasure and we don't want to lose you.)
