oyster pond river dinghies in the snow (chatham, massacusetts)... hmmm, I don't know what made those wee footprints, but I thought I heard sleighbells and the sound of soft voices... and I did find what might have been a little 'elf' or 'pixie' dust glittering on the snow... it is that time of year...

I finally get to see snow near the ocean!! I've been trying to see that for the longest time. I love this picture, and I'm glad you didn't get any more of the white stuff than this!! I can't even get out to take pics of the snow we got...waiting for the plows!

Boy..you got it bad there Mary....or good, if you like snow!!

Looks like the 'clog dancers' have been doing their 'thing' on your boats eh!! ..he he!!

What a wonderful Christmassy picturesque postcard this would make!!! .. .excellent presentation and composition!...

I hope the oysters didn't freeze. I think that the shadow is a little to distraction on the second boat. Other then that it looks great.

A great winter shot. You are quite lucky getting snow so near the coast we hardly ever do as Wallasey is on the North-West coast of England we get the benefit of The Gulf Stream and as a consequence, very little snow even though we're further north than you.

ps. The footprints are elves in snow-shoes.

I like this a lot...the upturned boats covered in snow with the footprints leading up to them is a great and rare capture. I love the way you have framed this image with the extra snow in the foreground. Well done. Into my faves.

Beautiful snow and water scene Mary! Funny how the footprints go one way, but you don't see them going anywhere afterwards! It has to be some kinda bird. Excellent capture!

I agree with Susanne and say they were made by a Phasmid. Those boats are upside down by the way. They're supposed to look like the ones in the water. Oh, it kept the snow out. Never mind. Great colors and you're good at these winter photo's Mary. I really like this one.

Nice that the snow is almost untouched. You must have taken this in the afternoon? Nice shadows.
