the day after a storm you can always find surfers attempting to ride the waves on the outer beaches of cape cod... although the water is at about 37 degrees... not my idea of fun but then they give me the opportunity to take pictures...

It will be a cold day in .........Cape Cod when I do this. Great capture and a good reminder not to want to do this. Love the angle and the wave. Surfer looks pretty small against that backdrop. Very good Mary.

The surfer is absolutely crazy! But I sure do love this photo Mary! Its just beautiful how the waves created that rainbow! And what a gorgeous blue! Get rid of the surfer and I'll save it..lol..I love your wave photos!

I know how the surfer feels ... when you love a sport you forget about the exposure to the elements. My first dive as a certified diver was in 37 degrees water under ice ... 6 mm wetsuit helped alot. ;-)

Great action shot Mary ... the surfer gives a wonderful perspective in comparison with the size of the wave. Love those blue colors too.

What a wonderful wave you've captured there Mary. Also what a wonderful colour your sea is. As for the surfer - some people are just plain mad!!

I wouldn't want to be in that cold water. Good capture of the action.

Perfect timing. You captured the waves the way a jeweler cuts a diamond.

Great picture, Mary. What's the "mist" on the left hand side? Is it spray from the wave?
