when returning to the harbor sailors need to keep the red buoys, not the green, on the starboard, or right, side, hence the saying, "red, right, returning"... this is chatham harbor (cape cod, massachusetts)... and a fogbank was sitting just offshore...

Ok, Mary, I hope you're happy now, my camera just went into the garbage! To me the ghostly outines of the ships in the backround absolutely make this post marvelous. Very well done!

Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round??
Love it HF. I have learned more about ships and terminology on this site than a lifetime of golfing. lol Love the ghost ships and the different size of boats. It seems you can get whatever the pocketbook will allown. Not unlike houses or autos. Good post.
