when returning to the harbor sailors need to keep the red buoys, not the green, on the starboard, or right, side, hence the saying, "red, right, returning"... this is chatham harbor (cape cod, massachusetts)... and a fogbank was sitting just offshore...

Love it HF. I have learned more about ships and terminology on this site than a lifetime of golfing. lol Love the ghost ships and the different size of boats. It seems you can get whatever the pocketbook will allown. Not unlike houses or autos. Good post.
