This is a picture taken at the outlit of Goat Lake looking up into the Sawtooths. The peak you see towering int he background is Thompson Peak, the tallest in the Sawtooths sitting at an elevation of 10751 feet.

Thank you all for your wonderful coments, I'm glad you enjoyed this picture as much as I did. It was a nice surprise when I got back from my camping trip and got to see how it turned out. I have a few more I'm planning on uploading to caedes. I just added another I hope you enjoy and as time goes on I'll post some more pics from my many mountain climbing adventures.

Thanks again for the good response and I'm glad to be able to share my pics with this community that has helped me build many a desktop (i'm a linux fvwm user).

Great shot!
The Sawtooth range must be too rugged for the cinema crowd. Eastwood's Pale Rider was done there..don't recall many others.

In particular the lighting on the rocky background adds an illusion of depth and the appearance of archways where there are none. Great shot as it keeps me watching
