Great detail on this one, especially the center portion. Also, I like all the detail in the petals. You did good getting the dark center and light colored petals all to be perfectly exposed.

It's the ever beautiful, ever useful Echinacea purpura, also known as coneflower. Echinacea. And this is a very splendid capture of an isolated bloom. Really nicely done.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

ohhh so that is what Echinacea looks like. The plant in medical form is supposed to ward off colds and flu so my American boss told me! A very beautiful flower and well captured!

You got fabulous colour and details in this beautiful bloom. It might look better facing into the photo rather than out, just my humble opinion :-) It is a gorgeous bloom. Oh, I nearly forgot. I name thee Droopy Draws.

Beautiful shot. I like the muted colors in the background. They really highlight the flower.

I call it beautiful. Whatever it's name is doesn't really matter. You have captured it's beauty to be enjoyed for a long time. Well done.

A splendid picture Charlie, every detail is so perfect and the colour is delicious:)
I know this as Rudbeckia, so have learned something - I never knew before that Echinacea was the same thing.

Wonderfull shot, although i wonder why the petals are all hanging down... might be the water sprayer was standing to hard in that B. G. but, the image is great.
