This picture seemed quite fitting for me. I've had an 'up the creek without a paddle' kind of day. I hope your day was much better my friends! I used a bit of Orton effect in this to bring out the color and tone down some of the harsh sunlight. ***Also, there is a new artist on the site. His name is Dan, aka/accidental. Please check out his work if you can and he is new making 'friends' too.

Some very pretty complimentary colors here, Tina. I always like what Orton's does to the lighting. Nicely composed image too and the day looks like it was pretty despite the hassles of being without your paddle.

I like your photo very much and it does seem to display a state of doubt. I think it can be a healthy release utilizing the arts as a means of expression and connecting with the universe. My best to you my Friend....

Very serene Tine. I hope tomorrow is better for you, with a working paddle.
Off to check out Dan now :)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

For me, this has a peaceful yet surreal quality about it. It totally works though. Very nice colors as well.

A new day, a new paddle and a new boat will solve many problems Tina. You did good work with the lighting. I can see where it was a challenge.

I see that I had already commented on one of his pictures. I sent a welcome anyway. ...Looks like that paddle is ready to be made firewood. It would get you nowhere in a hurry! Nice work, Tina. I like the Orton!

Great job capturing the sky's reflection and in toning down the sunlight. I am enjoying the contradiction between the stillness of the water and the past anger in the broken paddle. Those paddles are not easy to break!

my best images happen by accident. there is so much to be seen in the minutiae surrounding us that we often miss the very best.
