I took this shot on the shore of Lake Superior in Grand Marais, Minnesota. I saw these two little girls talking and playing with their little plastic horses in the sand. They looked so close that I couldn't resist sneaking a shot. Eventually, they got up and as they walked past me, one girl asked the other how old she was. So I guess they had just met and bonded over a couple of toy horses. This is one of my very favorite images and I hope you will like it too. I used a posterize effect on it. ***Also, I've recently made a new Caedes friend, her name is Rita aka nanadoo. You may have already commented on her images, but she tells me she is new at making 'friends' on Caedes. Please check her out if you can, she is a very sweet and talented lady who could use more friends! I told her how wonderful, kind and helpful my Caedes friends are and she can't wait to meet you all!

I like the blues and browns and the girls so close together engaged in a mutual enjoyment and each other's company. I would suggest only a slight straightening of the horizon line. I like the post you left in there and those long shadows as well.

A lovely scene Tina. Also the brightly lit beach with the shadows and the blue water look very nice.

I have seen nanadoo's gallery and it is impressive, Tina. I will try to comment more on her shots.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

I like the (for lack of what it's really named) posterizing effect you gave to this image. I creates a dreamy, childhood memory response in me - hoping that was your objective.

my best images happen by accident. there is so much to be seen in the minutiae surrounding us that we often miss the very best.
