These are the trees that surround my yard. There are so many of them and they are very thin, but still pretty tall. Can you imagine what they look like when they are full of gorgeous green leaves? I guess this is why people around here call this living in the "sticks"! I loved the way these trees looked this morning. They were nearly naturally black and white, but still had little bits of color hidden amongst them, remnants from the fall that are unwilling let go, even through thick, heavy snow, blustery winds and the bitter cold. The combination of the slight frost and the dampness caused by the rising temperature seemed to add so much to the rich tones of their bark. I really have a thing for leafless trees, although I have no idea why. I thought this would make a nice DT. I feel like I could step into it and lose myself.
