Raiding the bird feeders I captured this cutie with the the canon 40D with the canon 70-300 IS USM lens, shot through a clean window with the screen up.
Whenever I do this type of shot I just make sure I clean the window, then sit and wait. :) This window has to be the cleanest one in my house. Lol!

You can't tell at all that this was shot through glass. Love the lighting and detail, Sandi. Cute little bugger.

You can not tell that this photo was taken through a window it so clear.Plus I love the sharp detail and the different tones of colours in the squirrels body fur.I must also say what makes you squirrels cute compared to the Uk grey squirrel is the lovely white round the eyes. well done to a lovely capture.

So the secret to getting good wildlife shots is too carry around a window with you. I guess it makes sense they are called picture windows after all. Good clarity and details in the photo and nice lighting in the scene.

The lighting and your clarity pick up every little hair... They're such scamps, always in the bird feeder, but I think they're cute, especially the little red squirrels like this one.
