Here is another bracketed capture from my New Years weekend trek.

I could only walk so far and then because of not being able to get across the water, I turned around.

I then went back to the starting point and took a different walk, that was not as scenic, and when i started seeing neatly stacked piles of feathers, (not scattered about from a fight) but neat! A wondered about it after the second pile, and then after seeing a third, I got uneasy, and headed back to the car, and looking behind me as I went. I would love to go back there in the Spring, but not so sure that I will?

I have never had such a weird feeling when out and about.

Thank you in advance for your comments.

The "feather collectors" had been in action. Native Americans need them for their festival. It must be a lonely place out there but you got a nice shot of the wild groen nature here Sandi.

There are strange things that happen out in the woods now and then. I don't blame you for being scared! I'm been out alone in the swamp miles from nowhere and hear noises and see bushes thrash about so I know where you're coming from.

Wonderful winter tones in this Sandi - strange what you saw - would give me a creepy feeling too.

Reading the comments of both Raj and Alex, I like to say that this photo shoot was a real adventure indeed, Sandi. Although I'm rather tall and strong, I haven't felt me at ease there, ☺ .
The result of your courage however is that you're able to provide us with a very fine addition to this series. Just great, my friend!

The definition and color are so good here , very well done with the bracketing. I am looking for a ghostly image , the feather pile maker , but see none. That would creep me out too.

If I did go back I'd take someone along, bet it would be gorgeous in the Spring though. Nice shot.

its a great shot tigs, love the fact you'r bracketing. its a great way to process. as for the feathers? maybe a fox with OCD :)

i alway go to the woods/forest with two devices to shoot with, one being the camera. and the other? well you never know when your at the top of the food chain...little levage always helps :)

this spring on our annual shooting, you have nothing to fear. well maybe the ticks...bring your DEET!

Lovely image Sandi but your narrative gave your image a whole new meaning. I would take somebody with me the next time you venture in.

Life's moments are sweet. I just want to capture all that I can of them.
