Very good shot of the cardinal with sharp details. Also details on the tree branch are very clear and sharp. And the good bokeh brings it all out nicely.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
I don't get many good shots of the male cardinal - they seem so jumpy. The female I find easier - this is a beauty Sandi with that wonderful deep red color captured well.
Would somebody please explain to me why I keep getting an error telling me that I can't make a comment more than every 20 seconds. Anyway, I wrote a 30 page dissertation on your shot of the male cardinal and lost it. So this time I'll simply say, lovely shot of a bird that I used to see daily when I lived in Illinois.
Dorothy Michaels: No, just Dorothy. Alan's always Alan, Tom's always Tom and John's always John. I have a name too. It's Dorothy, capital D-O-R-O-T-H-Y.
One of my Favorite Small Birds Sandi. I had one on my fence yesterday and it would call and I would call back. This lasted at least 15 minutes and it kept looking around wondering where it was coming from until my whistler went dry.....LOL. Beautiful Capture.
This Image GRABBED my EYE. That's Why I Stopped By. Thanks For Sharing ! Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience

I didn't realise how many of these guys we have down here until I was down here for several years. I see them mainly in the swamp and they're are very active flying around from branch to branch. Nice shot of this curious critter.
