This couple live in my addition, and we have become friends. I first met Tom while caring for my mom, and sometime after Harry had passed. Last year I finally met Elaine his wife of 30 plus years. After friending her on fb, and learning of her last name (she uses her maiden name with her married name) it brought back memories of a name Harry had mentioned over the years, so after inquiring about it, I found that Harry and one of her brothers had been friends back in the day.

She also explained that back in the early 70's Harry was one of her favorite people. Things change and time changes and they lost touch with each other. She told me she had wondered over the years what become of him.

He passed by their house every time he came to my moms, over the years not knowing one of his old friends lived in the house he passed by each time. She knew he had passed away by reading the paper, I'm so glad I thought to ask her about her last name. I have shared pictures of him I have with her, which she appreciates.

This is my follow up story, just felt good for me to share it with you.

It is a small world after all!

Thanks in advance for your comments, I appreciate it.I have their permission to post this.

What a story ! It is indeed a small world and coincidences like this are very special. How lovely for you both to be able to talk about old times like that and share your individual memories of a special person in both your lives.
They look a nice couple - and they love their garden :)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Yes it is indeed a small world where one suddenly meets an old school friend or acquaintances from one's childhood etc. Nice capture of the pair with whom you have something in common Sandi.

Lovely shot and heart-warming intro, SAS...yep, it's a small world and so cool when we meet someone who once knew someone we did and we can exchange stories and memories...I'm glad that happened for you.
