Yesterday I took my neighbor Elaine (the lady that I found knew Harry so many years ago) to Ruby's lovely home. We also learned that she, and her husband Tom knew Ruby's husband Steve they worked at the same place some years ago.

Ruby took us for the fun ride around the property on their gator,(4 wheeler) and I had not seen so many butterflies before, they were everywhere, and so were the finches, (but they were in such numbers it left me in awe, and I could only sit there and watch them as we scared them up out of the field-so no pictures of them.

So there will be more of this series to come.

This is a Monarch Butterfly, and the zinnias were the most popular of the flowers for the butterflies.

I appreciate your comments, thank you.

If one didn't know better, one would probably have thought that you had photographed a fairy tale, Sandi. But we know that, thanks to your photographic skills, it's an image of the reality.
Subtle colors and excellent composition make that your submission is S+F by me instantly.
Thanks for that, my friend!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Very nice Sandi! The sentence "Ruby took us for the fun ride around the property on their gator" sounds like something someone down here would say. Trust me, people do try to ride them now and then! We had a guy walk into a convenince store holding a 3 feet gator and tried to rob the place using the gator as a weapon!
