I have not mangaged a lens capture of one of these in a long time, so was thrilled I spotted this rarely seen by me butterfly.

Took this at my friends property and this was a reach even using the 200mm, and it has been cropped.

Sandi, about 5 years ago I was in a butterfly garden and took THIS IMAGE. When I see your splendid 'Junonia coenia' picture (I got this name from Wikipedia), I think to see some similarities. I'm not sure however, because I'm not a butterfly specialist. Up till now I can't tell you the name of the by me captured butterfly. Raj calls it in his comment a Morpho while Kathy calls it an Owl type butterfly. For the above mentioned reason I have to take these comments for granted, 😁 !
