Sandi, I think your cell phone camera has adjusted its exposure to the tree branch in the right foreground. If that is the case, that explains why the, otherwise beautiful, autumn colors at the background have turned out a bit pale. If the contrast of the background could have been increased somewhat, in my humble opinion, your fine capture would have turned out even better than it already is. Please note that my comment is based on my personal taste. I fully understand that someone would have a different opinion about the color scheme than mine.
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!

I agree with the above, maybe a bit of another angle leaving the branch almost out of the frame would have brought out more color to the background, which looks beautiful. Just my opinion.
