My first time to visit France park which is located 1 1/2 hours drive south west from my location. I fell in love with this beautiful park, which is a long ago abandoned stone quarry. We did a lot of hiking and getting some great views from standing on the cliffs. I stayed away from the edge of course. 😊 I used my phone, and kind of glad I did not have to carry the DSLR. I plan on going back in another season, and will probably take it with me for the easier walking paths. Thank you for commenting. Tigs=^..^=

I hope that menacing sky did not bring harm to you on this visit. It looks like its about to unload on all below it.

You find the most interesting parks for your walks and hikes and this one is certainly in that interesting category. Land, sea, and sky, you have it all!

Sandi, your beautiful photograph shows a multitude of different 'ingredients' ranging from a fascinating sky, beautiful fall tones to lush greenery and a water feature.
Even if I didn't know any better, I would have thought, perhaps due to the lighting, that the foliage of the shrub in the foreground had just been sprouted.
I agree that in certain circumstances like this, choosing a cell phone camera is the right choice, rather than lugging around with a heavy DSLR.
The result did not suffer. On the contrary however.

Excellent capture Sandi - I've not heard of the park before - This sky was what we saw yesterday as well - the joys of a strong cold front!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
