I took a mile hike yesterday in a place i have been to many times in a kayak but this time I decided to explore while my daughter was out on the lake fishing and yes, she did catch a few not a lot but some blue gill. Around these parts, these are also called umbrella plants. Used the portrait option in my phone, Thank you for commenting. tigs=^..^=

Sandi, because of the bokeh it's pretty hard to determine the size of this umbrella plant. In fact, it doesn't really matter, because your photograph itself is fascinating and intriguing enough. Good 'hike' shot!

Does this plant produce fruit? It is quite striking.

I used to read stories to my children from a very old book called "Told Under The Green Umbrella" This brings happy memories of those times :)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

The bokeh enhances this as I see it. Great pic Sandi.
