I decided that I needed to post a new image, and I saw that my image "Gemeinhardt M2" was in the permanent gallery, so I did an image along the same lines, but with a piccolo. Tell me what you think. Please, to use one of my gallery images, ask.

I am always searching for pictures with instruments as the subject. I myself play flute and will definitely have this as my desktop for a while...great job!

first off .. when sending a PM .. include a link Mr. HTML
second .. when disscussing a previous piece include a link .. ;o) .. Gemeinhardt M2

I like the composition better for this one due to the distracting black background is gone .. not real sure about the 'effect' you have going on, but it does add some interest ... all in all a very good start on your 'still lifes' career .. keep it up

I do like the effect you have applied to your piccolo here.

Some ... some of that effect, I feel does not translate as well with the sheet music however. I came across the same results, and understand the difficulty and the subsequent 'mottling' that takes place here.

I think it would be interesting to see you revisit this and place the piccolo in another setting. The highlights that do come through on the instrument and the 'quality' or 'look' that the instrument takes on, as a result of ... are quite fitting and 'classical' in concept.

Having said all that, I do like this. Nice work.

Now why would I find this photo attractive? Because of the details, textures, and the originality. You do have talent, and its refreshing to see your creativity.
