Playing around with a macro lens, I thought I'd get a shot of a Marigold. Used my Pentax K-1 with a Macro-Takumar 50/4. (Not to be confused with the Super-Macro-Takumar I've used for other images)

Up close and personal with a gorgeous coloured marigold, love the way the background is blurred to make this really jump out at us

Yes, I was just wondering if I could get such a soft background if I did a similar shot from a similar distance -- I might with the little 50mm but I'm not sure about my other lenses. Of course, I don't have a macro lens. :-)
