I think it's a very lovely scene, but found the various areas of out of focus/blur seemingly indiscriminate and unnatural. I'd like to offer suggestions, but can't determine what the original might have looked like.
Such a pretty setting, colors and composition, Steve. If you have time, I certainly wouldn't mind a message setting me straight if I've overlooked or misinterpreted something.

Yep, it is a bit of a mish-mash. I have 3 x exposures, produced in HDR then tone-mapped to increase the saturation of the colours. The blur comes from a mixture of a "burst" effect and the natural movement of the trees between shots. Any of the original shots are very flat. I wanted to get a dreamy effect but may have over-egged it a little!
