I have been on calm water like this. It feels other-worldy. You can hear all sorts of marine life (bugs birds and what not). This is a very nice shot. Very beautiful and peaceful. I like the lights as well. Thanx for sharing with us!! Cheers................Amaris

Yeah Robert, you nailed this one. The smooth water and the gently blended colors of the sky are fabulous. The reflections of the lights are useful, as they draw they eye to a resting point and give the rest of the image a focal point as does the yacht at left. I'm envious that you got this instead of me :-) OK having gushed all that I have a suggestion: I downloaded and re-cropped and matted your image to draw the eye more to the horizon where I think the focus should be. Here's an example. See what you think.
