Nemophilia maculata to be exact is the name of the cup flower with 5 purple spots - it's also known as Five Spot and comes from California. It was paired for Spring plantings by the Botanic Garden with the beautiful Texas Blue Bonnets. All comments appreciated.

Hi, Kathy...

Five spot comes from California? I've never seen it but wish I had. That's a beautiful combination of flowers. The colors are striking and majestic. Excellent clarity. It looks like it was a cloudy day. Some bright sunshine would have made this photo perfect.

Kathy - This is an interesting combination of flowers; the nemopillia maculata one I've not seen before. You composed the photo nicely; the frame ties the blues together throughout the photo. Kudos! Thad
